1. Occupational Safety & Health:
- Basic injury prevention
- Basic first aid
- Hazard identification and avoidance safety
- Signs for Danger, Warning, Caution, and personal safety messages
2. Fundamentals of Electricity:
- Electron theory, fundamental terms, definitions, units, and effects of electric current
- Resistors: types and properties, Ohm’s Law, series and parallel circuits
- Kirchhoff’s Laws, Wheatstone bridge principle, and its applications
3. Common Electrical Accessories:
- Specifications of switches, lamp holders, plugs, and sockets in line with NEC 2011
- Development of domestic circuits, including switches, alarm systems, and two-way switches
- Security surveillance, fire alarm systems, MCB, ELCB, MCCB
4. Chemical Effect of Electric Current:
- Assembly of a Dry cell, electrodes, and electrolytes
- Principles of electrolysis and Faraday’s Law
- Electroplating and electrochemical equivalents
- Lead acid cell, Ni-cadmium, Lithium cell, and their applications
- Inverter, Battery Charger, UPS principles
- Routine care & maintenance of Batteries
5. Magnetism:
- Classification of magnets
- Methods of magnetization
- Properties, care & maintenance of magnetic materials
- Principles of electromagnetism and its applications
6. Resistance:
- Types of resistors
- Specification and tolerance of resistors
- Effect of temperature variation on resistance
- Methods of measuring resistance
7. Identification and Study of D.C. Machine and Transformers:
- Principles of D.C. generators and motors
- D.C. machine components and practical applications
- Transformers: types, winding, and ratings
- Alternating Current principles and industrial wiring
8. Basic Electronics:
- Identification of semiconductors and energy levels
- Diodes, classification, and applications
- Study of rectifier circuits, oscillators, and transistors
- Digital Electronics: Logic gates, flip-flops, counters, registers, timers, and digital I.C. chips
9. Number Systems:
- Decimal, binary, hexadecimal, and BCD code
- Conversion between decimal and binary
